Add Old World Charm to Your Home with Stucco in East York

Everything old is new again, and that’s especially true when it comes to home renovation. Stucco is a prime example of this, as it adds old world charm to your property’s exterior while modernizing its look. If you’re considering a stucco project in East York, Belvedere Home Improvements Ltd. can lend a helping hand.

How Stucco is Installed

We begin the installation process by erecting scaffolding so that we can remove existing woodwork or eaves and downpipes if necessary. Then we scrape away any loose material.

Stucco is repaired using galvanized metal lath and finished with a texture to match the house. We apply two coats of Thoroseal Masonry wall coating in a colour selected by the homeowner. Wooden elements are painted using Benjamin Moore exterior latex house paint. We maintain a daily cleanup and at the end of the job, our team will remove all debris.

Stucco siding is repairable, and when repainted, it will look like the entire wall has been newly applied. We can also assist you with the installation of aluminum and vinyl siding.

Work Examples

Below are some examples of past stucco projects we completed in East York and around Toronto.

Stucco house

New stucco was applied to this entire Lawrence Park house.

Stucco house

Stucco works well with many other types of detailing, such as stone, as shown above. It is equally compatible with brick and wood.

Leaside Stucco Project

This refurbished Tudor-style home in Leaside was given new pine boards and stucco repairs before painting and sealing. The new stucco was matched in texture and colour to the existing material. The owner was very pleased with the end result.

To perform this project, Belvedere erected safety scaffold where needed. Our professional installers removed all the peeling and cracked stucco and then applied the proper mesh and adhesives.

Lawrence Park Stucco Project

The owners of this Lawrence Park home called on Belvedere to restore the stucco and timbers to their original condition, using the same techniques employed more than half a century ago. Three coats of stucco were applied. New pine boards and seamless baked enamel aluminum eavestroughs produced the beautiful results shown below.
