Belvedere was started by Eric Giordano from his Leaside home in the late 1960s. His goal was to establish a home repair, improvement and renovation company focused on customer satisfaction and built on repeat business.
Over the past 50 years, that is exactly what he has achieved. Today, Belvedere enjoys a solid reputation for quality work, competitive prices and attention to after-sales concerns. Original customers continue to call on Belvedere – and so do their children!
Eric and his partner Charles Mallia have both been involved with Belvedere for more than 50 years. And they have built a team around them whose members show the same loyalty – many of them have been with the company for more than 20 or 25 years!
Eric, a long-time businessman, entrepreneur, and dedicated family man passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in his 68th year with his wife, brother and business partner by his side. He fought a courageous fight against cancer.

Eric Giordano, Past President
Eric founded Belvedere Home Improvements over 50 years ago and had a gift of surrounding himself with capable people. Eric, a well-respected businessman, entrepreneur, and dedicated family man passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in his 68th year with his wife, brother and business partner by his side. He fought a courageous fight against cancer.
Charles Mallia, President
Charles has been involved with Belvedere for more than 40 years. Eric and Charlie have built a team whose members show the same loyalty – many of them have been with the company for 25 and 30 years.
Maurice Gualtieri, Partner
Maurice has been a partner for more than 38 years. He is well known to the largest majority of our clients as a person they can depend upon. Maurice is very passionate when it comes to clients’ needs and he takes great pride in the satisfactory completion of each project.
Donald Panzine, Partner
Donald has been with the Belvedere team for more than 20 years, bringing with him years of experience in the industry. Because of his vast knowledge he is looking after all of Eric Giordano’s clients. This in itself confirms his capabilities.
Jay Williams, Foreman
Jay has been a team member for over 25 years. He treats Belvedere clients with the highest level of respect and as if they were family. Jay is an excellent estimator and foreman, and has had many years of hands-on experience. He oversees all of our projects with the assistance of our office staff.
Rod Wetherell, Estimator
Rod was a senior estimator and had been a part of the Belvedere team for over 25 years. He oversaw all of his clients’ projects from start to finish. His main responsibility was to ensure that all of our customers were completely satisfied. Rod will be missed by everyone here at Belvedere and by all of the clients he serviced over the years.

Deborah Giordano, Secretary Treasurer
Debbie serves as secretary treasurer for the Belvedere team and has a background as an administrative assistant. Debbie’s strong customer service skills allow her to go above and beyond normal protocol on a daily basis. She has assisted her husband Eric part-time for over 16 years and is familiar with all aspects of the business.
